This notice explains what personal information DualCurrent Ltd collects through this website, why, and what we do with it.

Who we are

DualCurrent Ltd (company number 16182673, registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX) is the controller of the personal information described here. If you have any questions, email support@dualcurrent.co.uk or call 020 3883 1321.

What we collect

When you send a quote request, we collect the type of work, the postcode of the property, your description of the job, your name, how you would like us to contact you, and the phone number and/or email address you give us. We also record which page of our website you sent the form from and, if you arrived through an advertising or campaign link, the campaign labels in that link (for example "utm_source"). These labels describe the link you followed, not you.

To protect the form from misuse, we keep a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your IP address and a fingerprint of your enquiry for up to 24 hours. This lets us limit repeated submissions and avoid sending the same enquiry twice. It cannot be used to read your enquiry.

When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and keep the service secure, and keeps short-lived technical logs.

Website statistics. If we turn on website statistics, we use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and a few actions, such as clicks on our phone number or a submitted quote request. It does not use cookies, and we never send it your name, contact details, postcode or message.

When you phone or email us directly, we keep the information you give us in the same way as a quote request.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry, discuss the work and prepare a quote. This is a step you ask us to take before entering into a contract, and it is in our legitimate interests to respond to enquiries.
  • To carry out and document work you ask us to do, including certificates and reports, under our contract with you and our legal obligations.
  • To keep the website and form secure and prevent misuse, in our legitimate interests.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used, in our legitimate interests.

We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell them.

Who we share it with

We use service providers who process information on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it:

  • Vercel hosts the website and, if enabled, provides website statistics.
  • Resend delivers your quote request to our inbox as an email.
  • Upstash stores the short-lived scrambled data used for rate limiting and duplicate protection.
  • Our business email provider stores the enquiries we receive.

We may also share information where the law requires it, or with your agreement, for example with a managing agent or tenant to arrange access.

International transfers

Some of these providers process data in the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer relies on UK adequacy regulations (such as the UK–US data bridge for certified organisations) or on contractual safeguards approved for UK transfers.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted.
  • If you become a customer: for as long as needed to carry out the work and to meet our legal, insurance, certification and accounting obligations.
  • Rate-limiting and duplicate-protection data: up to 24 hours.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and in some cases to have it transferred to you or someone else. To make a request, email support@dualcurrent.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk(opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113.

This website does not set cookies. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
